I’m Christopher Jones — an artist and illustrator exploring movement, modern life, and the emotional energy of everyday scenes.
My work sits at the intersection of fine art and graphic clarity. Drawing from modernist composition, expressive realism, and my background in design, I reduce complex subjects into bold forms, simplified palettes, and rhythmic mark-making. Much of my recent work focuses on cycling, urban moments, and human connection — subjects that allow me to explore momentum, tension, and presence.
Before dedicating myself fully to art, I spent years working in branding and visual communication. That experience still shapes how I paint: I care deeply about structure, balance, and visual impact, but I also leave room for intuition and imperfection. Each piece begins with observation and drawing, then evolves through layered paint, texture, and reduction until only what feels essential remains.I create original paintings as well as limited edition prints, all produced in small runs. My goal is to make work that feels both contemporary and timeless — art that lives comfortably in modern spaces while carrying emotional weight.
